TYPES OF MARKETING

Hey buddies! As we know that marketing refers to the process of identifying your potential customers and reaching out to them to boost up your sales, companies use different types of marketing strategies according to their industry and other factors.

Now let's have a look at a few of such types of marketing...

1. Ambush Marketing

Ambush marketing or ambush advertising is a marketing strategy in which an advertiser "ambushes" an event to compete for exposure against other advertisers.

Flipkart started with "The big billion-day" sale and positioned it as something that has never happened. On the same day, snap deal has come up with "For Others, it is a Big Day. For us, today is no different."

The picture speaks for itself 😅... To be honest... This is our personal favourite!!

2. Cause Marketing

Cause marketing is marketing done by a for-profit business that seeks to increase profits and better society according to corporate social responsibility, such as by including activist messages in advertising.

During this pandemic situation, the most important thing is to maintain social distance. To promote this cause and ensure people's safety, many companies had come up with illustrating it through a change in their logo's.

3. Experiential Marketing

"Experiential is the art of expressing a brand's purpose and proposition through a form of physical consumer interaction.” Sarah Priestman, Sense NYC via Adweek.

“Piano Stairs” is an interactive, playful musical stairway installation created into the Odenplan underground station of Stockholm to make people use stairs more often than the elevator. Have a look at the people's experience through https://youtu.be/SByymar3bds.

Makeup company Fresh invited women in Manhattan to a glass truck for a mobile makeover. They received a lip product application of their choosing and then were given the option to “tell” by sending an e-card or a traditional postcard with their new look.

4. Mystery Marketing

Should our marketing messages always be clearly defined, easily understood by our target audience? While most stories need to be clear and transparent to be understood, sometimes breaking the mould can encourage even more buzz around your brand and campaign.

The vagueness surrounding all of this creates organic conversations between people and keeps the brands alive in the customers' minds. To unveil the mystery, click here: https://scoopempire.com/1-la-vistas-1612-billboards-are-no-longer-a-mystery/.

5. Niche Marketing

Niche marketing is an advertising strategy that focuses on a unique target market. Instead of marketing to everyone who could benefit from a product or service, this strategy focuses exclusively on one group—a niche market—or demographic of potential customers who would most benefit from the offerings.

The commercial clothing industry is a vertical that can feel like everything has been done. But UNTUCKit proves there are still creative ways. UNTUCKit probably wasn’t looking to create a new type of shirt. They were more likely to serve a specific community of people: those who didn’t like to tuck in their shirts.

Lefty’s: The Left Hand Store found a widely underserved community of people who favour their left hand instead of their right hand. Because 90% of the population uses its right hand, left-handers have widely had to adjust to using products designed for “righties.” Lefty’s saw this as an opportunity. They created a store that sells products designed exclusively for the other 10% and found success reaching this smaller, often ignored audience.

So now... Amused?

Who knew that the everyday advertisements that we get bored to see have some types, and that too few brands try to tease others??

Try recalling the ignored ads u go through every day.....

Leave in the comment box which ad got you amused, and we will tell you under which type that falls in.

And you know the drill...😁 Like, comment, share and subscribe!!
